To give impetus to Strategic Partnerships and Knowledge Sharing from across the globe, the Government of Gujarat biennially organizes the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. Vibrant Gujarat 2015, which was the 7th edition of this popular event, was successfully held during 7th-13th January 2015, at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Vibrant Gujarat 2015 provided enormous prospects to its participating foreign countries and states by providing them a platform to showcase their advancements, initiatives and culture. The event was partnered by 8 countries & a total of 110 countries participated in the week long confluence.
Also, the summit proved to be an ideal convergence for other states and other countries to showcase their strengths, highlight business opportunities, facilitate knowledge dissemination etc.

Keeping the legacy, Netafim’s stall had a wonderful turnout as it attracted clients not only from the farming community but also the corporate. As the keeper’s of drip technology which originated in Israel, we also registered our presence at Israel’s pavilion along with other Israeli companies.
Netafim experts actively participated in spreading awareness about the latest developments in the field of Drip irrigation and Automation to the farmers who are willing to adopt advanced technology for their field.
Is was a matter of pride for us as we were a part of the delegation of ministers from Israel, led by Mr. Yair Shamir, Agriculture Minister of Israel, who signed a Joint declaration with the Govt. of India extending the Indo-Israel Agricultural Cooperation Project (IIAP) to its third phase (2015-18). 27 Centres of Excellence have already been established under the project in various parts of the country for fruits and vegetables. It is worth mentioning that Netafim India has its drip irrigation system installed in Centre of Excellence at various locations.
At these centres, experts from Israel have been training Indian officers as well as farmers in nursery management, protected cultivation, post harvest management, use of poor quality water for irrigation, precision farming of micro irrigation and other best agricultural practices.
Netafim India was also a part of the panel discussion represented by Avinash Thakur – Head Marketing & BD, which focussed on the challenges and brainstormed insights into the way forward for the Irrigation sector in India.
